                             The Costa Del Sol Region 

 

"Costa del sol" otherwise known as the "Costa del golf " is one of the most famous coastal areas in the world , and has the mildest winter climate in main land spain ,with average sunny days of 300+ a year."Benalmadena " itself is located in south of spain "Andalucia Region "within the province of "Malaga" on the" Costa del sol",known for being alively resort with beautiful sandy beaches and a spectacular promenade 2KM long .

Benalmadena is made up of three main parts :

1-El Pueblo - can be described as a small white spanish village ,known with its narrow streets.

2-Arroyo-De-La-Miel-Tree lined avenues,shops,tapas bars and businesses,away from the tourist area,this is part of real spain where the locals live and work.

3-La Costa - 2km of hotels,bars,restaurants which stretch along the coast.It also includes the site of the famous Marina.

                             Places To Visit 

 

-Paloma Park- A beautiful landscaped park , 3-4 minutes walk to Jupiter complex ,with alarge lake, various animal enclosures and aviaries.

 

-Tivoli World - Theme park in arroyo.loads of rides and entertainment for all ages.

 

-Arroyo-Cable-Car - Fantastic views of torremolinos, benalmadena,fuengirola coastline and with donkey rides at the top.

 

-Arroyo Market - Every friday next to tivoli world.

 

-Water Parks -There are two water parks ,one in torremolinos and one at fuengirola.

 

-Rail Service - There is an excellent and inexpensive rail service along the coast between malaga and fuengirola.

 

-Gibraltar Trips - Regular bus trips from outside Jupiter/Minerva complex, take about 90 minutes.

 

-Benalmadena Marina - Definitely worth a visit .Has excellent bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal and take in the views.

 

-El Castillo Bil Bil - Dated back to 1934 is a cultural centre,where most exhibitions and concerts take a place.

 

-The new Selwo & Dolphinarium - loads of sea creatures,seals,dolphins and penguins. (see photo below)
